123ICT Advice re Office 365 Update

Following the Office 365 Update in OCC School News on the 17/4/2014, 123ICT schools have been asking for advice re the transition of their email system.

Your 123ICT consultant will be able to advise your school on the best approach but in general our advice is as follows:

  1. Ask your 123ICT consultant to setup the Outlook 2010 client for the following email accounts (where 1234 = schools DfES number):
    • office.1234@ocnmail.net
    • head.1234@ocnmail.net
    • plus any other account where you want to transfer over all email contacts and email ...

Office 365 Upgrade of Staff Email Accounts

A reminder to Oxfordshire schools that the upgrade of Staff email accounts will begin on today (i.e. Friday 04 October) and should be completed by OCC on Monday 07 October.

Staff email accounts will automatically be upgraded by Microsoft to the latest version of Office 365 which introduces new features and a fresh new look and feel. This upgrade will match the student’s current version which has already been upgraded successfully earlier in September.

RM-Unify Review

123ICT Spent an interesting day at RM Real Centre yesterday.

As part of our visit, RM gave us a demonstration of RM Unify which is an exciting new browser based product which allow schools to effectively bookmark and organise educational websites.
