Making 3D Christmas Stars

Posted by:

A fun Christmas activity for the last few days of term is making 3D stars. It tests practical maths as the accuracy needed for measuring and folding is quite challenging. It gave teachers a clear picture of several fine motor control and mathematical skills without any sort of test!

This site has such a wonderful collection of shapes it is well worth visiting, master a shape yourself and set the class a challenge.   There are so many, from fairly esay to very complex, there is something for all ages.
