123ICT-Oxford Brookes Scratch for Key Stage 2 Seminar

Posted by:

Once again we had a full house for our Digital Learning Seminar at Oxford Brookes School of Education on June 11th 2014.

In preparation for the new Computing Curriculum the focus this term was on Scratch for Key Stage 2. This was a hands on seminar, working through examples of how schools can teach programming in a fun and engaging way.  We also discussed activity planning to support skills progression.

Feedback from delegates:

“Friendly, easy going teacher.  Good opportunity for exploration & discrete teaching. Thanks for disk and accompanying notes” Rebecca Catling & Una Tibbetts, Great Tew

“Very helpful intro – very hands-on.” Jeanette Cotterill, Charlbury School

“Useful to see what could be achieved when using Scratch and ideas for planning by year” Sal Barrett, All Saints, Didcot

Look out for information about our next Seminar in the Autumn term which will focus in Programming for Key Stage 1.
