Scratch123ICT Create a Digital Game Using Scratch Competition – Winners Announcement! Thank you to the many schools that took part in our recent create a digital game, using the popular Scratch application.

We were really impressed by the level of coding expertise displayed in this competition. Undoubtedly the majority of the games were all remixes; however, to understand and work out which parts to change in an existing program takes a good level of understanding and, I am of the opinion that the sheer number and complexity of the entries submitted show that this was a very worthwhile competition that appeared to be enjoyed by all who took part.

Altogether, there were 30 entries submitted; they can all be vewied and played on our competition gallery. They were all of such an exceptionally high standard that it became extremely hard to choose between some of them; nevertheless, after much deliberation and replaying, the winners chosen are:

1st Prize – Cave Game by Henry Pointer, Y5, from Rush Common Primary School.

2nd Prize – Pong by Troy, Y5, from Stonesfield Primary School.

Our congratulations go to the worthy winners and, in addition, our thanks go to everyone who took part in this super competition.
